This mobile telepresence robot will provide telemedicine, telepresence and continuous monitoring of isolated people suffering from coronavirus. It will enable patients to communicate with their doctors and families whom they cannot see or visit. It will also move between different patients, avoiding the risk of infection for the medical staff, allowing them to focus more on fighting the virus and providing the necessary care to patients.
The aim is to give maximum relief to medical staff while reducing physical contact between patients and carers and thus limiting contamination in healthcare facilities.
The different uses of a mobile telepresence robot:
- Enabling doctors to monitor and communicate with patients with a web application.
- Allow patients to communicate with their families that they cannot see or visit.
- To serve food and medication without having physical contact with patients while managing the database through a desktop application.
