If you just received a robot, you must first register it here on Robociti.
My Registered Robots
Your robot comes with a SD card already flashed with our custom Raspbian image.
But you must edit a configuration file before putting it on the robot. Plug your SD card in your computer using an USB adapter. Your SD card should now appear on your computer as a USB drive with the name boot. You will have to edit 1 file: ROBOTCONFIG.
Open ROBOTCONFIG with any text editor and replace ROBOTNAME (must be the first line!) by any name of your choice and AUTHENTICATIONTOCKEN (must be the second line!) by the robot serial which should be written on the robot package (please contact us if you dont have one).
You can now put the SD card in the robot and turn it ON.
Put the SD card into the Raspberry Pi, plug it to a monitor, keyboard and mouse, then turn it ON. When you arrived on the desktop, connect to your WIFI and let the initialization run. See How To Setup My WIFI for more informations. Restart the robot once the update is done.
You will find the robot assembly instructions in the course Build A Motion Controlled Wheeled Robot.
