About This Course
In the course "Introduction to Wheeled Robots", students will be able to learn about the basic structure and functions of a wheeled robot and the basics of using Python programming to control it. At first, students will be introduced to the Mars Rover and its parts, and gain information about the basic function of motors. Then, simple assembly information about how to attach motors and wheels to the robot will be presented and students can try to remote control a real robot if they have compatible hardware. Afterwards, students will be introduced to the Robociti programming environment and learn how to use variables in Python programming language. Finally, students will be taught how to use simple functions to control a real robot or a virtual one on Robociti. There are no prerequisite courses for This Course. You can use the Wheely Robot/Starter Kit to complete the course with robotics hardware or the Robociti Virtual Robot if you don't have any hardware available. to the first topic of the wheeled robot courses, the Mars Rover and its parts, and gain information about the basic function of motors.
